It's a commitment but if you try not to look at how everyone is doing and focus on your own it's good. A creative place. I have started a paid membership now 😊
I love hearing countering opinions. Quite fresh. Here's another one for size - if not #bossbabe, what do you identify as? Or do you identify with anything at all? I do love seeing entrepreneurs on Substack who are content without an empire... but truly, for the rest of us, what makes you content?
It's an interesting one as I'm not sure I even truly identify with being a business woman or woman in business (sounds all a bit too grown up and serious). I think as I've got older, I most comfortable just saying what I do rather than labelling who I am. So storyteller, writer, podcaster and speaker. My contentment comes from knowing I'm doing the thing I love - writing and helping give a voice to more women as I explore and grow confidence my voice. Making a difference for me isn't necessarily about changing the world (although that would be great) but about changing the world for one woman, in that moment that she needs it most.
How about you? What makes you content? What do you identify as?
I love that... and when you're doing things like changing the world one woman at a time, your identity shifts constantly.
My identity is hard these days to define... :/ These days, I just want to identify as an investigator and a helper. How it manifests has been a lil clunky lately but maybe it's part of the process
Hilary, it's you from 22 stories. I just realised. I wondered whether you'd come to Substack.
Ah hello Claire! Lovely to see you on here. I’m very new to Substack but it’s feeling like a great place to be. How are you finding it?

Absolutely, bloody brilliantly, SPOT ON! 👌🏼💫
Thank you! It’s a frustrating subject but the conversation is necessary.
